AKA – When Should I NOT bring my child to taekwondo classes?
While we love having your child in our classes, there are times when it’s prudent for them to not attend. Here are our guidelines as to when your child should not come to class.
Please do NOT bring your child to class if:
They’re Tired.
We appreciate that no one wants to miss a day of training. Kids who are exhausted, though, won’t be able to get the most out of their class that day. Let them come to another class in the week instead, or add in another day the next week.
They have the following:
-Cough – We’re talking about the student who just can’t stop coughing, even when it’s allergy-related.
– Shortness of breath or difficulty
breathing
– Chills
– Repeated shaking with chills
– Muscle pain
– Headache
– Sore throat
– Loss of taste or smell
– Diarrhea
– Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit within the past 24 hours.
-a non-stop runny nose, or they have thick, yellow/green mucus coming from their nose. Kids who have a non-stop clear runny nose tend to use their hands and arms to wipe the snot, or, even worse, have “360-degree snot rockets” when they spar. (As they jump and/or spin the snot flies. Everywhere.)
-Anything contagious – Any illness, skin condition, etc. – basically, if your child has something that can spread to others, please keep them home until they are no longer contagious.
Please also do not bring your child to class if they’ve been in known close contact with a person who is lab confirmed to have COVID-19
Students who exhibit ANY of these symptoms upon entry to the facility will not be permitted to attend class.
